Evening all
A very white outlook from my window after about two hours of serious snow this morning. It's the first time in my thirteen years here so I suppose it was due. I just hope it doesn't last as long as the 62/3 freeze up. Am hoping to make it to Daughter No 1 tomorrow. |

Sure hope we dont see history repeating on the weather front
----------------------------------------Living in Kent in 62 driving through snow banked at the side of the road for weeks and weeks. The brother-in-law got clobberd by an out of control car, which fractured his skull his head looked like crazy paving but he came through it and is still alive and kicking |

I'm marooned again (along with all my neighbours)!! Worst thing of all is that I can't get out to buy my Saturday paper. I only have the one paper a week, and that has an extra supplement in it with all the TV programmes for the whole week. It hasn't stopped snowing at all since I got up (7.00 am). So I am well and truly pxxxed off! So far we have six inches of snow settled (I can tell by my little garden table as the snow is still pristine and staying where it has 'landed'!). Yes, you can tell, I am very fed up (that is the polite version).Snap on the papers front. I know you can get the details of what's on from teletext, but it's not the same as having a proper TV guide. I think the most exciting bit of my holiday will be travelling to Gatwick to see if the flight is cancelled! ![]() |

Got to 'dig' my car out tomorrow as I have a choir rehearsal and then the choir performance in the afternoon and evening! So think everything else will have to be abandoned until I can see out of the car windows, etc. As long as there is no more snow in the night or tomorrow, I have a fairly good chance of managing it (I think, no I hope!) but whether I will be up to singing after that is another thing!
However, if there is any more snow, then that is me "up a gum tree". |

Well, I found my car but it has taken me nearly three quarters of an hour to clear the snow off it, but a lot of the snow is iced on. At least all the windows are clear. And once again it started first go - a little gem it is!!
