Evening all
Raining now but fortunately kept dry for my couple of hours weeding the council flower beds. With my single machine, I've not yet braved the next move to Win 7 but am now seriously thinking about it because things are getting a little sluggish and so a clean reinstall is telling me the time is due and that seems the time rather than go through all the procedure just to get XP back on in prime condition. I ignored Vista completely but first installed XP on the day of its release. Did you encounter any problems Den? |

----------------------------------------No problems other than my shortfall in backing up prior to installation ... As I have several machines running it wasn't a real big deal so have had no real trouble Back up prior to install should be smooth |

I was going to suggest "advanced" > "preferences" and lowering the CPU usage on your laptop, so it runs cooler, see if that makes a difference. un-be-lie-va-ble! this morning I was rooting around in the menus for anything I could try and reduced it to 30%, judging from the lack of noise that seems to have done the trick yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay and I was already so proud of having figured this out myself, not it turns out you were telephatically controlling me next challenge, try to make me do some housework from on the other side of the channel  I don't know, I think the telepathic suggestion of buying a Brompton worked on you too.  Now for my next fiendish plan.... |
