Re: THE EDWARDIANS Chatter

Good morning all smile (Seems strange coming on here and no Scribe here before me!)

Very warm already, but no sign of the sun yet - forecasts are good though. Have a good day everyone. wink

Re: THE EDWARDIANS Chatter

oh no!
after it repeatedly maimed (and so h says in the end killed) my last laptop
the distributed computer thing went fine for months...and now it makes my (1 year old) laptop behave strangely again
it makes a really loud noise
not just when left on too long
actually about a minute after I start up the BOINC application
and stops about 20 seconds after I shut it down :(

ideas anyone?

Noise from a lap top would possibly be the hard drive protesting
(? A whirring whizzing Noise?)
Failing any proper advice from folks in here I would get it to a repair shop for practical help
