Been working every weekend since May 1st on our new office (www.hilltaxservice.com) hope to finish painting the exterior this weekend. Inside is one thing but outside is quite a task.

Good morning team.
----------------------------------------Thanks to the newest BOINC for Android update I lost 3 phones I had acquired just for crunching.. Also shut down 2 8 core machines and replaced them with a 24 core so I'm still ahead of the game although losing the phones wasn't in my plan, after all, they basically ran for free. Hope y'all have a great weekend.

To whoever is paying attention
The UK Team has been informed by a friend that Alan/Scribe died peacefully on Tuesday 24th. March in a Nursing Home, with his wife and son at his side. His funeral took place on Thursday of this week, attended by close family. He was still posting until 2 days before his death and, as he intended, his machines continue to return completed WUs and will do so for sometime to come. Been eons since I was here last. Still crunching with a few machines but most of my computers are too old to contribute economically.

Good morning team.
----------------------------------------For the past several years I've been acquiring more powerful machines with more cores and cramming them full of RAM. Recently I discovered that large amounts of RAM are pretty much useless unless I'm using the machine for more than just crunching. IE I have a Dell Precision T7500 24 core 48gb Ram that I use to watch TV and paly DVDs. It crunches 24/7 and only uses 3 - 4gb of RAM at any given time. The only way I've found to make use of RAM is to add Virtual Machines, a great tool but can be a hassle with updates and power failure recovery. Just passing along my find to anyone who may wonder about their machines ability to crunch. Have a great day.
