In my opinion any work done and finished as error (when 100% completed) and invalid results, need be valored in equal basis of valid results. ... So, I wonder if WCG could review this rules and criterias, and update it for one more estimulated. I saw it happens with some distinct criterias to distribute points, in some Beta tests results. Why not extend it for all projects results ? ![]() GIBA, For an "old" project running steadily for months error and invalid WUs are normally produced by machines with problems (e.g. HW, SW) that need to be fixed by their owners, and crediting rules have been made to motivate these owners to do what they have to do. For a new project with teething problems WCG techs are usually adapting the rules behind the scene to make sure that participants are not penalized for problems which are not their fact, until the new project is finally running steadily. These manual corrections may take time but they usually happen. Cheers. Jean. Thanks Jean for update me. I just share my opinion. I believe that invalids and errors help techs and scientists evolve in each project so ask for changes. I don't know the facts behind and about your comments so appear distinct for me and maybe for other people here. Maybe some update in FAQ's about it could be addressed to explain a little bit more about what happens when an error or invalid result are evaluating for WCG and some point are distributed or no (a big picture in general or with details for specifics from each project if need). ![]()

I wish you would all READ and UNDERSTAND my post! I had not completed 100% and then got error! I completed 100% within a few hours of issue, many days still left for completion and it was EVERYBODY else who had the error!
I THEN HAD MINE MARKED AS TOO LATE WHEN IT WAS NOT! |

Scribe,
----------------------------------------You are old enough in grid computing for understanding that your problem has to do with the validation process and the various tweaking that the techs are doing in this area for this project. Therefore nobody else than the techs can answer your post and this is why we seemed to ignore it. When the techs come back maybe they will tell you something about your problem. And maybe not too, since their highest priority right now is probably the datacenter move. Cheers. Jean. |

Wow, that really sucks. I'm just glad I'm working on RICE right now and waiting till the bugs are worked out on CEP. Although I am only about 1/2 day away from my CEP bronze.

Seems it's just a question of patience. I had the same problem before. Now results on CEP are coming through: some after 32 hours, some after 4. I don't really understand, but frankly, I don't really care.
