It's not a message log, it's a crash report. If the core client crashes, it dumps all the debug information to stderrdae.txt

The whole report may not be relevant, but we don't know yet. Personally, I think this is a libcurl bug, caused by the upgrade in libcurl version for this version of BOINC.

Since this bug manifests so rarely (once!) fixing it may be difficult.

Given that the stack trace points to libcurl, and the BOINC libcurl upgrade has not been exhaustively tested, our most probable cause isn't hard to find.

If you mean "on other projects" it is up to you, but I think that if it works on WCG it should work as well on other projects
If you mean "with 6.2.25" I see no reason to stop it if it works fine. At least not before the final WCG version is released (there is a 6.2.26 in the plans which fixes a possible small conversion problem from versions 5.xx to 6.2.xx with file cc_config.xml).

The work you do will be credited as with any other Boinc version. This 6.2.25 version is fully operational and manages exactly the same jobs as all other versions. Its called beta only to warn members not interested with reporting possible problems that they should wait for the new version recommended by WCG. And also to warn members who install it to keep an eye on it. That's all.

The warning in the announcement about the quest for the beta badge not being affected by this test is precisely because the work units are not beta work units, they are business as usual.
