Some WU's like BETA_oryza_sativa_indica_9311... just downloaded.
Sounds similar but none about Canabis sativa to leave Exar very happy !!! laughing laughing laughing laughing laughing

I think that is something involving rice study... cool If confirmed, it will be the first WCG project about food...

There are a lot of studies about Oryza sativa spp. genome posted in internet... google it to see someones :

Re: New Beta project WU's are crunching in WCG...

OK then, I've crunched 6 WU's through now, all without any problems. It takes about 2 hrs. per WU, all running on a dual-core cpu (2x AMD and 1x Intel, all about 4 GHz).

I hope, that some other results from my WU's will arrive soon, so I can see, how good (or bad) the performance is on my pc's.

I'll folow up on this...

Re: New Beta project WU's are crunching in WCG...

Wow how are people getting 50+ at a time? I have only one Beta WU sad , currently in progress. Maybe it's because I keep a 1 day cache on my machines.
BETA_oryza_sativa_indica_9311

Maybe next go around I'll get a few more and be able to see them process. This one in progress is on the home machine, and of course I'm at work so it will be done way before I get there to see.

I have no idea... Maybe, because I cried so much a the beginning of this thread... blushing

But they are spreaded over 3 mashines, so it will take about 18 hrs., then they are all done.

Except I will get some more... biggrin biggrin biggrin

Re: New Beta project WU's are crunching in WCG...

Hi, one of my betas got an error after ~15 minutes:
BETA_ oryza_ sativa_ indica_ 9311_ all_ 0000012257_ 2--

Error

I restarted BOINC while this one was crunching, so maybe that caused the error.
Another WU worked fine, it's not validated yet, but it seems to be valid ;)

Yes, it's that horrid - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005). We have a FAQ for that one. If one-off not to worry about, but if it repeats you need to investigate.

thanks for reporting.

You're welcome biggrin

I read through that FAQ and it's probably my graphics driver. I started the graphics for that WU and since my laptop returned from the support everytime I start a direct3d (not exactly shure about that) application the whole screen goes black for just a few milliseconds like write combining was turned off (which isnt).
But this is the first error since months, I hardly use those graphics anyway.
