It's 5.20 as that one had the question popped by the security software if it was allright for BOINC to launch here.

OK, heres a screenshot of Task Manager showing the current page faults:
![]() The 5.15 units are showing high PF's and PF Delta, but the 3 x 5.20 units are far lower and no PF Delta (whatever PF Delta is!) - perhaps someone who is a bit more techie than me can interpret these findings and say whether things seem OK or not... 2 x X5340 CPU's @ 3GHz, Windows Server 2003 64Bit, 4GB RAM. |

From an accounting perspective, if the balance sheet has a delta, there's poor bookkeeping.
----------------------------------------Based on previous reporting in this thread and others it sounds like the Clovertown(octa) XP is getting seal of approval.

Delta means the change from the previous value. Here, it means page faults per time interval, where time interval is the Task Manager refresh rate. I think.

Here are the finished results for those 5.20's....
![]() Faster crunching time than the 5.15's and nice consistant claim/granted credit ![]() |

Having said the credit looked even and consistant in my post above with the new HCC WU's - one thing I notice is that the credit seems a tad low compared to say DDDT.
DDDT WU's produce about 20 credits/hour on my machines, whereas by the looks of these new HCC units they produce around 12 credits/hour which is quite a big difference........ Example DDDT Results: ![]() I'm going to run some now on the same machine as these DDDT results above for a more accurate direct comparison in case its down to my Clovertown Server machine and not the WU's themselves..... |

Ady, what if the high-claimers were consistently paired down? I claim about 16, got about 16 per hour on the old and still getting 16 on the new, in fact a tear is in the corner of my eyes as 24% used to be still in the 'average up' for me with those 'just not' outliers. Please let it settle and build some new device stats for the 5.20 version.

Sek, you could be right of course, as with my 3 x 5.20 HCC results above I claimed a fair bit lower than the other in the quorum - it could be that my Clovertown machine is now claiming too low for some reason with these new units - which is suprising as the Windows 64bit OS used on it tends to make it claim higher than it should normally due to the inflated Integer mark.
----------------------------------------I'll see how the 'Ghost3' machine with XP 32bit does with these as a more direct comparison and report back..... [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 22, 2008 9:23:59 AM] |
