Re: Fast work units

10 work units in an hour? It is unlikely they are completing properly. Can you check up on them using the Results Status page?

Re: Fast work units

Same here. I have an AMD Athlon X2 6400 and it took about 45 minutes to do a FAAH workunit.

Re: Fast work units

I've had two units that completed in 90 minutes or so, as well, and they show as valid in the results status.

Re: Fast work units

Greetings all,

The batch starting with 3145 are new work units from the researchers. My program that estimates how long the work units will run has split them up more than it should have. That is why you are seeing such short work units. I thought these work units were more difficult because of the number of work units built in a batch, but it looks like the script split the number of tries shorter than it should have.

Re: Fast work units

The average between Tuesday and Wednesday fell by half an hour and as the slower machines join in the fall will be more visible.

As an aside, though this is not really FA@H topical, the points per hour of crunching are increasing as more convert from UD to BOINC.... same goes for HPF2. Would they / Could they be lured into moving sooner wink
