Was surprised to find the computer was displaying non-secure items, so decided to strike while the iron was hot, entered a few more posts and managed to check a few e-Mails before it crashed again. spent a few hours updating my drivers and it seems to be O.K. now, so it is my turn to cross fingers. Time will tell! Well, time is telling - that was just a flash in the pan... today it will neither display non-secure items nor web pages other than WPG. I kept thinking Ad Blocker was rsponsible, but deleting all the AB files made no difference, so I restored them. Have you tried using Firefox? I know of other people who use it after Internet Explorer has become corrupt and it works fine for them.  Put the central heating on last night for the first time.  |

Put the central heating on last night for the first time. Me too, and just bought a load of heating oil! (Winter Draw(er)s on already! Good morning to you all. Hope the sick and wounded soon get back, it's very quiet in here. (Thinks...Perhaps they have hibernated?) |

Evening all
Had guests yesterday so didn't get time to pop in but after the snow fall last evening it's been sunny and bright today Must get some sweets in for Halloween. |

Greetings all....Turned on the heat for the first time this morning. The thermostat read 58F...way too cold...didn't want to get out of bed!!! Like acpartsman said, "we kinda went from summer to winter overnight ."

Frosty morning though and car was a little harder than usual to start. Guess 9 year old battery may need replacing. Must remember to do it! |
