Evening all
Not only could we stop this changing clocks twice a year, we could do it just once and coincide with the rest of Europe which makes more sense. I have one radio controlled clock that refuses to recognize the British signal. It came with me when I returned to the UK from Germany (where my German was so bad they thought I was Dutch) and no matter how many times I try to re-set the thing, it always returns to Continental time. It will automatically change tonight but keep the link with you Baron. |

Good morning all
---------------------------------------- Talk about hassle, my alarm clock sets itself and it was made before the US changes the DST changeover dates, so this morning I wake up and it thinks it's 7:00 when it's really still 8:00. Good thing I set my cell phone alarm. Furthermore, not all of the US uses DST, how would you like to live in a DST area nad work in a non-DST area? Kinda like living near a time line.It would suit me just fine if DST became normal time, after work and weekends are the only time I have to do anything anyway. Y'all have a great day. ![]()

I know what you mean. I worked on the QE2 for 6 months in the 70's, and when we crossed the Atlantic, we had to change an hour every day!!!, and again on the way back

Thanks for all your good wishes everyone - it means a lot. I expect I will close down very early tomorrow morning. Little furry friend still at the vets, so it is over to Brenda now. (For those that don't know she is a member of the Edwardians - 'Catitude'). Hopefully I'll be back in touch with you in a couple of weeks - depends on when I come home and whether or not I can sit at this machine.Take care of the place while I'm gone and behave all of you!!good wishes from me too. i love you Merle, be healthy and happy. ![]() |

Evening all
Quiet in here again but it's been sunny down South in the smoke as well so I feel reasonably cheerful. |
