Was surprised to find the computer was displaying non-secure items, so decided to strike while the iron was hot, entered a few more posts and managed to check a few e-Mails before it crashed again. spent a few hours updating my drivers and it seems to be O.K. now, so it is my turn to cross fingers. Time will tell! Well, time is telling - that was just a flash in the pan... today it will neither display non-secure items nor web pages other than WPG. I kept thinking Ad Blocker was rsponsible, but deleting all the AB files made no difference, so I restored them. |

I must have done something right this morning. The images and other non-secure items are back and I have even managed to get my e-Mail without going to another computer.
----------------------------------------Good luck and good health, Merle, our little songthrush. What is U3A? The sunshine is pouring through the gaps between clouds and the ground is trying to dry up. I think I will now follow its example. Thanks, Ivan - yes, it does look as if we are becoming a bunch of old crocks - even JP is beginning to feel the strain.
Thanks for the info, Ted. Is there an umbrella organisation for U3A, or do we just continue to create our own informal groups? I stll think Ad Blocker was the alien in the woodpile, so I wil do what i did this morning - use it to close my open browsers, then close it in Task Manager. |

Evening all
A bit of drizzle during my walk to the supermarket this morning but since then it's been another fine day. Clocks go back this weekend and it's already pretty dark by half five. I don't know why we don't just do away with it and leave it at one time all the year. |

Merle.... I'm sure all will go well...Get back soon. JP....Wishing you and your sister the best!!! What Chris said. ![]() Good afternoon all. Thanks for the reminder of the end of summer time, almost forgot. ![]() As always, confused if the clocks go back or forward, but I understand they go back this time. ![]() Just as well, because then the clocks I didn't adjust before in spring are then showing the correct time again. ![]() I agree with you Ivan, why not get rid of the DST, too much hassle. ![]() |
