Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Hi everyone, I am back, but not back in one piece! Regretably I developed food poisoning whilst away, and am taking a long time to get over it. So if I am quiet, forgive me!
Take care

An ode to food poisoning

Ode to the food poisoning, that wreaked havoc that reeks;
It summond my insides, and then pinched my cheeks;
Something I ate was surely volatile and gone bad;
Kinda like me, but that began as a lad;
This wind of change began late tuesday night;
I awoke with a start, as my end was in fright;
I ran to the bathroom, like a chicken in a coop;
And proceeded to make up a bowl of bean soup;
For the next twenty four hours, it did ebb and flow;
My stomach, and it's new friend, the toilet bowl;
Not to sound crude, and realy not trying to be crass;
But I've never been so afraid of what may or may not be gas;
I'ts like having a gun with your hand on the trigger;
But which way the barrel points you need to figure;
You must choose wisely, and surely don't guees;
For if you choose wrong, then you'll be in a mess;
But it has subsided, aye, I can now say It's passed;
Forgive me for being honest perhaps graphic without class;
But it was either an ode to a sick donkey, or my ill fated ASS devilish

Hope you feel better soon Ted
Take care all .........

Old Sage wink

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Good morning everyone, am a lot better today, but still very tired (It's an age thing!). I need to get fit for the weekend (Remembrance weekend) which reminds me, a year ago I took part in a TV programme called "In Living Memory", which tells the story of five people who died for their country in various wars and conflicts. Well if you missed it, and would like to see it, it is being repeated on UK TV History programme at 5pm on the 9th of November, my little bit concerns Marine David Wilson, an 18 year old who died in Aden in 1964. Dan Snow does an excellent job of presenting it, and some of the camera work is stunning.
Take care

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all

Glad you're feeling a bit better Ted. If you keep up your usual 50 press ups each morning you should be fit for the weekend.

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all

Have a good weekend you all. I'm going to a bonfire and firework party tomorrow evening and if the weather forecast is right I shall be watching either from the window or under an umbrella.

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Was surprised to find the computer was displaying non-secure items, so decided to strike while the iron was hot, entered a few more posts and managed to check a few e-Mails before it crashed again. spent a few hours updating my drivers and it seems to be O.K. now, so it is my turn to cross fingers. Time will tell!

Well, time is telling - that was just a flash in the pan... today it will neither display non-secure items nor web pages other than W.P.G.
I kept thinking Ad Blocker was responsible, but deleting all the AB files made no difference, so I restored them.

Have you tried using Firefox? I know of other people who use it after Internet Explorer has become corrupt and it works fine for them. biggrin

Put the central heating on last night for the first time. sad

I now have Firefox, and am waiting to see what it does. In fact, I have just noticed that our spelling errors are now underlined in dotted red!
