Yes, Wishbone, I want you to corrupt me by bypassing authority
- and above all I'm curious beyond all dignity. What is it I cannot see???? He-he Ghost Plane's hunt for food brings her intriguing melodies Good Evening Base Campers This shall be brief as I'm tired from a great outing to one of Denmark's numerous islands, Agersø - a 15 minutes ferry trip from our main island. The weather was the best imaginable, the sea, the sky, the clouds out there where they didn't disturb, the wafer ice cream (pistacio and rhum/raisin, GP), the larks still singing and about the only ones to disturb the silence. When you have an eye for it - and some love, too, I suppose - Denmark is a buttercup. Well, we already said goodbye to PecosRiverM and NAP2614. More are to come tomorrow when Trek #28 officially ends. As the tally stands today, the evening before, Base Camp exclusive of team owner deltavee have dropped 2,031,750 point with Team Episcopalians which is about 30% on top of the 6,881,294 points, deltavee had amassed himself before the invasion. Pointwise the team has advanced to #2,043 from #2,571. I think this has been a great Trek. Thank you everyone for making it so! Musicwise we work on Base Camp 6 playlist now, and for collectors we have readied for download: Base Camp 5 playlist Let's listen to Sarah Vaughan: Moonlight in Vermont And you know this one sung by Danish Pia Raug - only not in Danish: Seksten År (Sixteen Years) And, finally, Suzie Quatro Born to Run Base Camp invites you to become our New Camper ![]() |

All of Base Camp express their condolences to Wishbone (densnaps). He lost his dog last night.
Good Afternoon Base Campers It seems as if most of the participating Base Campers are content remaining with Episcopalians. None has left since NAP2614 and PecosRiverM did. And I can understand that: The BBQ PecosRiverM made us is so plentiful and so delicious .... I'm sure deltavee doesn't mind us staying. I certainly don't. It's great! Pictures from yesterday's trip should convey the image of an fairy tale country. In fact two of the castles were among the many places Hans Christian Andersen stayed and wrote his fairy tales. At Borreby he wrote: The wind tells about Valdemar Daae and his daughters ![]() You can be happy living here. Danes are the happiest people in the World surveys of three decades conclude. One reason, they argue, is that we trust each other more than other nations stemming from the Viking age where they took people's goods on the boats and stayed away for a half year or more trading it for other goods on foreign shores. The contract was made in the form of a handshake, and they didn't betray each other. And everybody was the other one's equal - even the women were at that time! Denmark happiest place on earth Here is another explanation. Modesty: What Makes Denmark so Happy She says in the first video that our cooking is not something to write home about. Still, we have NOMA nominated as the best restaurant in the entire world for the second year running. Enough, enough of chauvinism for one day - and you can rest your ears and eyes until the weekend, because I travel to Jutland for more relaxation - and hopefully to see "The Thunderbirds" - show team of the US Air Force. We need music - we need Neil Sedaka Stairway to Heaven André Rieau gets you going with Hava Nagila Finally, Thomas Helmig (by the way married to the "supermodel" in red in "Denmark happiest place on earth") Into Your Eyes - it gets better with each time you listen - as do the pictures of Elvis Presley - captivating to say the least - even after he had one banana spilt too many Wouldn't you like to be a Base Camper? You are cordially invited to become one |

Still dancing wildly to Hava Nagila! Hard to sit still to that one. Then I wandered off into the waltzes.
I REALLY have to track down the Persian Diversion. Surely his mother remembers waltzing?! Pre-Revolutionary fun! |

Thank you for the pictures and especially the link to Cliff Richard's Congratulations. I had almost forgotten him.
Would you believe it? Forgotten Cliff? In my youth you could be either an Elvis fan or a Cliff fan. I was Cliff. And now I have forgotten him - temporarily. |
