Yes! And here it's when the cat's away the mice will play! ![]() Maybe this means that English speaking mice can't dance. Because this is the saying I am familiar with as well. No, play means dance and anything else! ![]() |

BladeD,
----------------------------------------If you will met a Fench woman, I recommend to use : "Do you want to dance with me ?". Because if you ask : "Do you want to play with me ?". Unless if there is a game or music instruments where you are, and it's clear ; She could understand you ask if she want sex with you. In a party it will be very ambiguous. ![]() Recette / Recipe . Translator Today: Magrets of duck with huckleberry sauce . There are many recipes with duck breast, but this is one of the least known. If it has my preference is that the duck is very fat, use vegetables (onion, carrots, leek, celery) on the side allows it to remain light. The huckleberry jam is much more convenient to prepare the sauce, and adds subtlety, with a sweet and salty aftertaste. But we can use some whole fruit, so that the plate is prettier. (as in the picture for example) In wine, a red, a Châteauneuf du Pape. Bon appétit ! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 12, 2019 11:39:58 AM] |

Little Mermaid,
![]() ![]() I do not think a mermaid needs a lighthouse to navigate, but it's a very nice stop. From Sicily, you will have swam to the Strait of Gibraltar in the Mediterranean, then up the Atlantic to the northern tip of Brittany. Indeed, the Créac'h lighthouse was built in 1863 on the island of Ouessant, to indicate to the ships coming from Atlantic that they enter in the Channel. We are here at the most western point of metropolitan France. Over the years, the lighthouse has been modernized, and is now the most powerful in Europe (unless recently exceeded) . The former electric factory has been transformed into a museum of lighthouses, which explains the evolution of signaling and prevention techniques at sea. The currents around the island are so dangerous (it's nicknamed "Island of Fear") , that there are five lighthouses in all to point it out. Particularity that should please you: Historically it is a matriarchal society! Men are often at sea, either for fishing or for the Royal Navy, those are the women who ran the farm, but also the budget! And a typical thing, it is they who asked men in marriage, not the other way around. This functioning lasted until the mid-twentieth century. Welcome back to Base Camp ! chit-chat I'm verry happy ! With the 2 last WU I returned (40 and 37 hours of calculation) , I win the bronze badge of beta testing. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 14, 2019 1:59:17 AM] |

Where We’re At
Base Camp is not trekking right now Thank you everybody for keeping this place alive, putting up a lighthouse for me, making crunching records, eating quail without me, dancing and playing on all the furniture - which the mice also do in Denmark: When the cat is out, the mice will play on the table (which means playing and dancing for us) and not least cleaning up afterwards. Good Morning Base Campers! Business No trek is planned in the near future. ![]() Chit-chat They gave me a car fresh from the assembly line. Opel Corsa It was to the big side. For those who wonder why take a look at this place called Bronte which we (Opel Corsa and I) navigated. Twice Choose satellite view. The most tangled place. Put on street view … It was very, very reliable, and I succeeded bringing it back to ’Sicily by Car’ almost without a scratch - they didn’t seem to count in what happens to the right front wheel’s nice black coat when getting too near that lava curb … It was a really minor thing considered what the other customers brought back So, when I stop shaking – the Sicilians have their own unique driving style and turning my head 270 degrees every few minutes – distinct symptoms of being gun shy and suffer from shell shock I’ll begin to think of a trek. We’ll take our bikes on the back roads … Apart from that, Sicily is beautiful, the espresso stimulates your traffic ticks further, the food tastes good – almost as stefada’s when it’s best (mind you: I had chicken breast filet on the return flight) and the people are friendly and easygoing. ![]() |

Where We’re At
Base Camp is not trekking today ![]() Good Morning Base Campers! Business Here is eerily silent Never mind, I can talk to myself I’m an only child. We do that all the time from cradle to grave ![]() Chit-chat It so happens that currently I am with ChrisRasmussen/Mansden’s team. Fitting, because we can celebrate the 800th birthday of our national flag. ![]() Our Queen went to Estonia on her yacht named for our flag which we call ’Dannebrog’ – because - and I know I repeat myself here Dannebrog fell from the Estonian sky on this day 800 years ago at a moment when Denmark was about to lose a war there. Immediately, Denmark’s luck changed …. All over the country – and in Estonia – there are lots of celebrations. In the air, as well. The Danish Air Force painted an F16 in the national colors ![]() |
