Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Interesting reading. My first time with a team where I personally know no one. The Hungarians may ignore us but they certainly can't ignore our contribution to their team. Of course they may ask us to leave, but that would be in very poor taste.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Welcome to our Base Camp trek, acpartsman.
I'm afraid I shall have to leave the sightseeing to mike047.
They brougt me to the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen for a most unexpected angioplasty last night.
Maybe the Hungarians could step up to the plate :) and take you to the Royal Castle?

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Thank you, acpartsman.
Still alive, lots of bloodwork, everyone seems skilled.
Waiting for a conversation with a concluding doktor.
Feel secure with you and mike47 at Base Camp's helm.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Over Christmas I had to shower with a garbage bag wrapped over the bandage of my leg. Now I'm fitted with an appartus in a bag around my neck with five differently colored wires with electrodes that transmit EKG etc wirelessly. On a monitor I can see the signals from all connected co-patients. When I lost the black one, a nurse came and refitted it. Under a net that got wet I have valves for drop, injections, and bloodwork. Tomorrow I'll be transferred from this top notch facility to another one 70 miles from Copenhagen. I have a fine view of Copenhagen all the way to Sweden from this 15th floor. Because my treatment was begun fast only little damage has happened to my heart musculature.
Have we had more Base Campers join?
I'm sorry not to have delivered on the virtuel travel as planned, acpartsman. Hopefully I can catch up later.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Welcome, Urden! So nice and courageous of you to come. Unfortunately this trek does not go as planned touristwise, but I hope you will enjoy it anyway. stefada will perhaps come himself.
Sorry for not putting this info French, but I cannot handle it on my phone.
Encore un fois: Bienvenue ici, Urden

Sorry for double posting and for all my errors. My phone insists on correcting all those weird English words into proper Danish.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Whiling away time punctuated with EKGs, listening to lungs, explaining of new medicines, an entire book to study with the nurse sketching in where the clot was and the stent now sits. Only now it begins to dawn on me that my life was in danger

Looking at spending 3-5 days being observed before going home with a rehabilitation programme - and to crunching again and to taking part in Base Camp's Hungary trek - and to do the badge and Base Camp Hall of Fame business.

Has our crew grown besides our French member?

Hang in there, good to see you're up to posting what and when you can. Welcome to Urden for joining us.

Weather man missed again so we got much worse than expected yesterday. Guess I'll see if I can get to work.
