I get tired just watching you go to all these places. Busy woman. Would like to meet you in person some day. You sound like one amazing woman! Maybe our paths will cross in the future. So what drinks did you unpack?

It's easy to be an amazing woman in the virtual world, Bearcat -
----------------------------------------beware what you wish for .... What is amazing is the collection of badges earned with dedication by you and your co-crunchers - and that's not virtual but real life facts ![]() I brought Scotch for you to take dry if you need a pain killer - on the rocks for calmer days. I'm into Gin & Tonic, but willing to share. Even brought lemon. I suppose I can hack some ice right outside, right? For the blizzards I brought cocoa powder, sugar, whole milk and a dash of vanilla. I have coffee and marshmallows to scorch on sticks. What did I miss? Oh, yes! Power banks! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 7, 2017 6:34:05 AM] |

I enjoy crunching for cures. Have built expensive crunchers and just received a free dell tower I will be changing the processor in. Quad cores just don't do it for me. Haven't tried scotch in many moons. Used to be a jack daniels drinker many years ago. Just beer for this old man now. Don't think you missed anything but a warm body to snuggle up to in those chilly days. Awesome pic. I enjoy camping. Especially with the right person. Beware? Nah. Intrigued, yes.

I cannot help but admire the enthusiasm and skills with hardware that you and so many other crunchers have.
How on earth do you guys and maybe dolls as well make USBs (I assume they are sticks) crunch? I'm a software type, I think. Hardware scares me. I'm still quivering from having mastered turning my old Sony into a cruncher. He'll only deliver one WU per day, I think, but it's a lot better than sitting without a life in a drawer .... and he can take care of himself while I'm touring (I'm leaving on a Norwegian Air Dreamliner tomorrow) and camping talk about a split personality Also, I cannot help admiring your frank language, Bearcat ![]() Something very strange happened: I'm lost for words ![]() uh-oh, I'll rush to the market and get you some beer. Any preferences? ![]() |

I like to tell it like it is. No beating around the bush. Since coming back from Germany, cannot drink the normal USA beer. So I drink Sam Adams Loger. They screwed up remaking there spring ale and summer too. But there winter is still great.
----------------------------------------Never was a software guy. Enjoy building them though. Have built 3 dual xeon systems. Crunched with them then sold to build bigger ones. kept the last one. dual 2.93 westmeres. Then started building gaming rigs. My current hex system runs great. Enjoy your trip. Safe travels.

So you were south of my border. Look forward to hearing about how you liked that.
----------------------------------------All right! During that long wintertime you teach me about hardware hands on (what you tell me here is double Dutch for me) and point out what makes a rig a Porsche Carrera as opposed to the run of the mill Opel Kadett and show me the assembling of parts. In return I'll see if I should know a trick or two with keyboard and mouse that you haven't discovered beyond the BIOS - if there even are BIOSs any more - see from there and backwards I'm lost ![]() Don't tell anyone - and absolutely not Microsoft: My Word97 and Excel of the same vintage survived the Windows 10 upgrade. We do share the taste of beer (let's graduate to Belgian beer for special occasions). When Samuel Adams was introduced, it was just one variety and you certainly couldn't get it nationwide - even south of the border in RI it took a while. Life was good and simple. But that has changed: Pumpkin ale? Grapefruit flavor? ![]() The Winter brew looks good and I trust it to taste well. So do you stock up for the entire year? Would you know why Americans seem to prefer to drink their beer from the bottle? ![]() Off to stuff my stuff in a carry-on and stomp on it. Norwegian Air doesn't go to Minnesota, but I know how to buy Greyhound tickets. I like their website and language a lot ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 8, 2017 5:29:10 AM] |

Little Mermaid:
----------------------------------------Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoy the beer. The reason some of us drink beer from the bottle is we are lazy. We hate to do dishes and if you drink straight from the bottle there are no glasses to wash. ![]() Cheers

No that's funny Joe. Beer taste better out of the bottle. Plus us men are lazy too! Wish there was a way to get you my email address without posting it here in public. If your a team captain, I think joe can pass you my email address since he is team captain. If not, will figure another way. Would be glad to show you how to turn your computer into a screamer if its possible. I was stationed in Germany from 92-95. Enjoyed it allot. Learned to ski and took in the sites. Awesome place.
