Good evening, Bearcat, so very good to see you.
I have been worse than I am now. And you? Heard birds tweet about some fusing? Hope you are not in too much pain. |

Have heard tidbits about you a bit ago so hope all is better. Yes, more disc fusing in my near future. Not looking forward to it. Take care of yourself!!!

Bearcat, I can sympathize with you.
Let me know when you are scheduled, and I'll join Minnesota Crunchers as a way of long distance support. I'll be out of town leaving on September 8th returning on September 25th. I'm crossing the pond actually, so I shall be unable to make any moves during that time - but then again I'm closer timewise and will try to check any updates. ![]() |

Have to go through a disco-gram procedure 1st to verify which discs need to be fused. Not fun when they stick that needle in a disc. Then pump fluid in the disc. 2 for sure but possibly 3 discs above the 3 I have fused now. Hoping to have it done before the snow starts.
----------------------------------------Good luck keeping base camp afloat.

Bearcat, that is not something you’ll give to a friend. And you have tried it before. Perhaps the procedure will be less painful this time, and I suppose it’s something that is done to relieve an exiting and chronic pain. How has it worked out on a daily basis now with the procedure you had earlier?
When it’s over and everything is well, we’ll have that drink in front of your fireplace we spoke about eons ago while the snow comes down and silences everything. Please let me know when you’re scheduled – and I hope it will be soon, so you shall not ruminate for too long - and once again the best of luck ![]() Your continued help keeping this Base Camp floating is greatly appreciated ![]() |

Had a disco-gram done for the 1st fusion. 4 discs poked. 4 again for this test. No medication allowed so they can tell which discs are bad. Will welcome the drink when all said and done. Hoping before the snow flies. At least they won't have to open me up front and back like was done on 1st surgery. Small incision on my side. I know your the only one who can keep base camp afloat. Will take a bit of time but know you will get it done. Then will share another drink to celebrate a job well done.

At least they won't have to open me up front and back like was done on 1st surgery. Small incision on my side. Provided the procedure would be the same as your previous one (four discs, nothing else), it sounds as if the technique has developed into a more customer friendly one meaning quicker healing of the wound. ![]() Made a pre-emptive strike and trekked to Minnesota. Pitched my new insulated, heated tent, and unpacked a selection of drinks + snacks for nibbling. My crunching smartphone will double as gloves ![]() In preparation for taking in Washington, D.C. I read ”AIA Guide to the Architecture of Washington, D.C.” by G. Martin Moeller, Jr. He writes refreshingly frank reviews of many of the buildings in the city. A sample: ![]() U.S. Tax Court Building A forbidding, space-age grandeur exuding power and authority. The building does have a certain minimalist magnificence, best appreciated from the plaza over the freeway immediately east of the site (which has obviously never attracted people as the architect had hoped). An absurdly wide staircase leads visitors into an inky void that obscures the original main entrance, which has been closed for security reasons for much of the building’s history. Mr. Moeller has organized 18 walks that he expects his readers to complete. I’ll do my best. His workplace is no less than the National Building Museum, which, of course, is high up on my list of places to visit. I have e-mailed him and praised his book - even had a reply ![]() ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 5, 2017 2:19:26 PM] |
