The other way of course is to keep posting absolute cr*p in the Chat section Dave
 Kieth passes the million point mark!!!! Way to go Captain!!  Ady missed doing 50K points in a single day by 755 points ... slacker!  TLD, Vaio, Orakk, Charles Chan and rwillis continue to blow the doors off the MOTley Motel (and drink all the beer )Thanks to all of our regular team members too for continuing to grind out the results every day.  Big Congrats to Keith on reaching 1 Million I'm sorry about the slacking DM - will try harder   DM - regarding your PC problems - CPU's are usually the last thing to look at, I would be looking first at my hard drive, RAM and cooling(fans u/s?) - is your bios set-up to shut down if CPU or case fans cease operating? |

DM - regarding your PC problems - CPU's are usually the last thing to look at, I would be looking first at my hard drive, RAM and cooling(fans u/s?) - is your bios set-up to shut down if CPU or case fans cease operating? Thanks very much for the information, Ady. I didn’t think about the BIOS but that is not the problem. I removed the RAM and put it in another machine and ran memtest on the machine. Everything looks OK. Both the CPU fan and case fan is running when it shuts down. Unfortunately the machine will not stay up long enough to run any disk diagnostics. I think I will set it aside and put a spare disk in it later this winter when the weather is bad, I am bored and looking for something to do. Maybe Santa Claus will bring me a quad. Thanks again. |
