Well, that's my worst day in the last 7 days. But the PV jail went up by 5 results ... so I can't complain. They will get released.10/26/2007 0:009:23:28:01 10,405 22 Silver Surfer and marysduby are back so I will take my rightfull place in line. Found some extra cash under the sofa today (heck, the stock market went up) ... ordered another machine. . Look out when this "bad boy" kicks in.For those who may have missed the announcement, beta testing has started for the next project (rumored, and probably validated as a cancer project). If so, the WCG crunchers are going to jump on it like fleas on a dog. They are already buzzing about it in the forum. My best to all and don't let the gobblins get you. ![]() ![]() |

My stats are likely to continue being much lower than in the past, and for quite some time to come. I hope I am not being presumptive, but may I ask why? Are you producing less FLOPS or are you taking them elsewhere? If this is too personal, “No worries mate!! ... it is OK by me. You have accomplished wonderful things here!! Well e’nuff said. ![]() ![]() |

Today, we had Neumonic rejoin our active crunching ranks. Welcome back! We are still just over 400,000 points short of 39 million so it will be Monday at best, most likely Tuesday, before we make that. Jonathan Figdor had quite a good day today! spikey_richie is back putting in some very good days so he is hopefully getting settled back in after the move and the job hunt is going well.

How do you guys get the cool graphics with your work units progress, milestones achieved, etc? So pimp I want to steal your graphics. Jonathan, I have a stat box set up for you on DCStat. This is what it looks like: To include that in your signature, put dcstat.com/sig/3060.gif inside image tags - that {img} and {/img} with [] instead of {}. Basically, the first task for the new website will be getting the images set up on it where they can be used. Any images you see in posts here are not in the posts themselves. They are simply links to some place that is net accessible - ie, other websites. |

A 40% increase in the price of domestic electricity over the past year combined with a virtual pay freeze over the same period. Quite where this government imagines we can simply find the money to pay ever increasing domestic bills is beyond me. ![]() |

Mate, I've no objection to you knowing why I've reduced my output at WCG. A 40% increase in the price of domestic electricity over the past year combined with a virtual pay freeze over the same period. Quite where this government imagines we can simply find the money to pay ever increasing domestic bills is beyond me. ![]() Makes perfect sense to me, SS. While altruism is a great thing ... it does get expensive!!! Electricity (for now) is not that bad here. I figure it costs ~ $10 USD/machine/month to run them. But then that is ~ $1,100 USD/year that I could have spent on good whiskey and bad women!!!! I am going to have to significantly curtail my activities by next May. My problem is heat and what to do with it. While the individual machines are not a problem, the total heat load in my office is. It is OK now as we go into winter ... I just have to open a window wider. But come next May-August when it is 90F (32C) in the office and 108F (42C) outside that is not an option. Additionally, I have to run a humidifier as the humidity routinely drops to a single digit. Putting in extra chillers (and the associated electrical expense) to cool one side of the office while I heat the other side seems a bit ridiculous even by my goofy standards. Consequently, I will have to shut most of them down. Well, thanks SS. I was just curious. And thanks again for your great contributions!!! ![]() ![]() |
