Replying to the post 2 up: Correct, but if you have it set up in that notepad file, there is really nothing to it and version numbers for stabilized sciences run forever, certainly with long running projects like FA@H. Set a threshold and new addition/changes will simply assume that lower lever, so set that to e.g. 60% on a single core and 30% on a dual core.

The shortcut to the sequence sits on my fast launch bar. I run it to change the CPU% whenever I want to do something busy on the work-desktop.... knock it down from 90 to 50 in 15 seconds.

Reminds me to still try it on Vista, but doubt it works as the threading model is quite more advanced). Yet to notice it runs at full on all 4 cores in parallel.

PS, i think the WCG variable is only read once at agent startup, whereas the tool is real time. The tool overrides the variable once used, permanently!
