That's the policy at my place of work also - all PCs on 24x7 for virus scans nightly, MS updates, and WCG

Just to let you know, green house gases are realy the least of our worries. See, if the stats were correct, the earth would be an oven right now. The reason why we still are on the surface is something called global cooling. It is caused by the same gases that cause the greenhouse effect.

First of all my wattage reading is accurate: That is for 1 quad core, 1 P4, 1 Athlon64, and one Mac Mini Dual core all running at 100% doing WCG work so that's about where I expect the power consumption would be. Wait a minute, in your first post you said you put a wattage on your two pc's. Now you are are saying you use your ups wattage meter on four pc's. Something doesn't add up. Ohh I know fluorocarbons are dangerous. I was referring to the claims of global cooling. If you're going to make a contentious claim refuting a preponderance of evidence, back it up with some substance.

Or after we are all cooking in 120 degree heat with skin cancer all over our face due to zero ozone on the planet will the government distrubute LSD to all citizens so we can space out and delude ourselves to think everything is just lovely? |
