Re: The Formula One Thread

Ferrari are going to be needing 2 new drivers next year

2 previous World Champions are not going to stick around being made to look like fools just because it says Ferrari on the side of the cockpit !

19th and 20th and outclassed by Marussia

Re: The Formula One Thread

Let's all hope that Pirelli left their Party Balloons at home for this years Silverstone.

So it's more of a race and less of a lottery this year.

Let's all hope the only variable today is the Weather

Re: The Formula One Thread

So its a whole GERMAN month !

First the World Cup and then Rosberg and his Mercedes !
Dream week for him : marriage+extension for his contract+ today win
Lively GP behind Rosberg (because the man with the pole is often the n°1 nowadays) !
Deception for my Majo Alonso( in third position for some time) not passing over Vettel. He seems stuck to these 4th or 5th places. confused

some hope for the future with Rosberg well in place.

keep yr short breath for the Hungaroring next sunday!

Re: The Formula One Thread

Is Mercedes domination nearing a break?
Enjoying this w-e race
The duel between Ham and Nico is evident now.
The way open for a "third man" i.e Ricciardo ,3 wins now and certainly having a better technic team and car than Vettel

Alonso is slipping back gently as Kimi pass over him for the first time-just missing a faster car ...
Is Vettel acting a public-relations campaign in Sochi?
Vettel samples Russia's new F1® track in Sochi

Re: The Formula One Thread

Exhuming this thread from page 8 of the forum ,i wonder if anyone
still interested about F1?
15th victory in a season Mercedes is above all, in all times
little teams cannot stand the expenses for near 20 races in a season
(near USD 300 billions for the big teams)
majority of teams are based in England and Italy and more Grd Prix outside of Europe. Apparently for the pockets of Bernie racking all the dividends.
what the future of F1 after Bernie (84 years old)?
for those who read french here an article in Le Monde abt what's ahead for F1

Re: The Formula One Thread

Hi Alged

Watch every race but this Season has just been a strange one

One bit of bad luck and the best driver this year won't win the championship

Still love it when Ricciardo wins biggrin

Re: The Formula One Thread

I watched all but a couple too. Tough year for F1 as two team have gone into "administration" (that would be bankruptcy here in the US). There is a chance that there may be only 7 teams (14 cars) next year and old Bernie may "require" some teams to run 3 drivers. I found this article interesting.
http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/06/sport/motorspor...index.html?iref=allsearch
There is still a huge amount of money in F1 but the rich teams (and Bernie) get the vast majority of it and the smaller teams shrivel and die.

Two weeks to the last race of the season. GO NICO!

Cheers!

Re: The Formula One Thread

Thks you both above to add on this thread smile
very interesting article indeed from Dataman
Well F1 is definitely at a turning point , near implosion
Majo Alonso is on the slippery lane to retirement. The last crisis at Ferrari shows that F1 recent troubles are affecting even the big teams.
Nico Rosberg might make haste to get the title that year for we dont know whether the best talented like Ricciardo cud have that luck in the years to come
Enjoy the next and last race!

Vettel signs for Ferrari on three-year deal

From Red Bull to the prancing horse ... maybe there is hope next year to break the grip of Mercedes.
GO NICO.
Cheers!
