Re: The Formula One Thread

I was so happy with Ferrari and their Ferrari, Sauber-Ferrari 1-2 finish. Maybe that will shut up the critics for a day or two. This season is off to a good start with lots of good competition. Ferrari does have the best looking ugly car in a field of ugly cars. Now off to China ...

Ummm they have the SMALL problem of Massa to deal with!!!!! A trade with Sauber may be worth it, but then does Sauber really want Massa either? Unfortunately Massa just can't seem to wring the cars neck anymore, it seems to drive him instead.

Re: The Formula One Thread

I knew it! Rain was Ferrari's best hope for good points, but 1st place? Fantastic! They should build a rain machine for all remaining races biggrin

Sergio Perez also had a great race, and it was nice to see Vettel struggling once in a while devilish

I agree that the Ferrari may be the least ugly of the platypus bunch.

A lot to do for the teams in the 3 weeks until China.

And oh so much controversy too!!! Will Vettel be penalized for waving 'the finger' at Narain Karthikeyan as they came together in Malayasia? Apparently Karthikeyan WAS penalized for the incident but I have not seen any details yet. Will Massa survive the season or will he be let go mid season or even sooner? He was 'summoned' to Maranello during the break for 'talks'. Luca Di M. has said the Team is 100% behind Massa but is that the kiss of death and a way of putting all the blame on Massa if he doesn't perform well in the future?

Re: The Formula One Thread

Impressive qualifying performance by Mercedes, but so far they've been struggling with race pace. That's a very interesting and unexpected starting grid, I'll do what I can to see the race (2:30am for me sleep)

YES THEY DID!!! I was SOOOO happy to see Vettel NOT make Q3 this morning!!! I was not happy that he just ran away with it last year, seems this year Red Bull will have to work VERY hard to get back on form!! I also like that Webber is ahead of Vettel this year too! Racing is what F1 is supposed to be about, not follow Vettel and fight for second place!

It also seems Vettel is not exactly telling the truth about the "gerkin" incident either, apparently Vettel is telling the press that Karthekian(sp) apologized, while Karthekian(sp) is saying he absolutely did not! I still think Vettel will get penalized for giving 'the finger' to another driver while on track and on tv. Vettel seems to be feeling the pressure of not being number 1, as Hamilton did last year and Massa has the last couple of years!
