Is this discussion about cursors or pointers?

hi Vester,
----------------------------------------it's flag (the post title), really covers the cargo , BUT, if you had/have a Vista specific Mouse Pointer issue in relation to the WCG(UD) or BOINC agent, or some knowledge to share in general, we'll gladly take it. This thread has already been added to the Vista: How To kb table in the Start Here forum. Start a new thread for Vista Pointers, so the Post Title really covers the load cheers

I asked because I found some issues/discussions involving pointers and OpenGL. Just making sure. Thanks.

I've read your descriptions again, and I know what the problem is related to. The pointer shadow uses alpha transparency. Without this, is is an ugly black blob.
So, if the problem recurs, try turning off pointer shadows in the mouse settings. For alpha transparency, you must also have your colour depth set to 32 bit (in display settings). The actual cause is probably still a driver bug, though - so keep an eye out for an update. |
