Good morning everyone. Still housebound, no car, its still in horspickle, its raining anyway! ![]() Tips on Keeping your Motor going Ted Sorry that your horseless carriage is in dry dock did nobody tell you that the car needs Petrol in it on quite regular intervals to make it go ??? Also those round rubbery things at each corner should be replaced every now and then certainly before the pretty canvas pattern shows through I know you look after your staff very well But was it wise to reduce the Christmas box to your chauffeur before he went off for his saucy weekend with the underhouse parlour maid ******************* John Just been to the QE2 web cam its very dark there at the moment but lights on horizon the vessel is in the Carra be an you know what I am seeing Could be another ship but think we are about to make land fall ? |

The sea is a nice shade of blue, and it's sunny, and I bet it's warm. It's p!ssed me orf completely Did I tell you about the time we nearly ran into another ship in the Med? Or the time we ran into a telegraph pole in the bay of Biscay? It wasn't all plain sailing (oops did I just say that?) |

Evening all
Well, at least it was only light rain today. The forecast just seems to try to find different ways of saying that it's going to be b...dy wet! My experience of ocean going is very slight. Just one trip on an old Cunard - The Samaria - from Halifax to Southampton via Le Havre and Cobh. It took eight days but the good thing was the weather was bad enough for most to be stuck in their cabins whilst we hardy ones had the bar to ourselves and got used to catching the glasses as they slid down the bar counter. After that it was ferries to France and a few sessions as crew on a mate's boat he had moored at Poole. |
