After that it was ferries to France and a few sessions as crew on a mate's boat he had moored at Poole.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crewing on a boat moored in Poole harbour tough task Smile at the folks on sandbanks or the lower ranks near Johns mansion I was captain of the heads on a boat moored in Rye Harbour only a couple of seasons though Lots of water under the keel since then ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Jan 19, 2008 8:38:31 PM] |

The only sailing I have done is the trip from Poole to Cherbourg on the ferry. All the peeps lining on Sandbanks will soon end up permanently underwater with the slightest rise in the sea level.
Had a lovely curry at lunch on Friday with the rest of the team at work. I think I had just about made enough space for it after Christmas, ![]() |

Had a wonderful cruise last May from Vancouver to Alaska - up through the 'Inside Passage' to Glacier Bay where we saw the glaciers calving, then back down on the 'outside'!
Lots of stops on the way in quaint Alaskan towns, and in between ate ourselves silly on the extremely luxurious cruise ship My first, and probably my last, experience of a cruise, which I had always said I would never do, but I only did it because it was Alaska - saw some amazing wild life Time for some shut-eye, Nite nite all. |
