This should answer everyone's questions...

In regards to what happens when the program completes the work unit.

The program then uploads the entire contents of your harddrive to be analyzed by a legal team appointed by BigBrother to make certain you are not engaging in any illegal or unethical behavior on the internet and inside your house (only if you have a webcam or mike - as the program is designed to take sample video and audio recording at random intervals)
A copy of your financial data will also be sent to the IRS for further auditing.

You will know when it starts the recording by the momentary lag in the rotating picture of the fake protein. The program uses alien technology to compress the contents of your harddrive into something that can easily be transmitted through the network. However, it takes substantial amounts of processing power to incorporate this technology, which is one of many reasons the processor runs 100% while you are not looking. IBM was not going to sponsor this grid until they realized that this heavy workload would take years off the life expectancy of everyone's computers - which inevitably means more $$$ for IBM. (they try to target mostly their own customers - Just look at the team rankings!)

After the first "work unit" the programmers realized they had to keep up the illusion that it is no different than the first...even though they already have the contents of your harddrive. So they only take that which has been added to your harddrive along with a few more random recordings and then to fill in for the extra time leftover - they have your computer attempt to evolve a new form of Artificial Intelligence in the hopes that all computers will one day become "self-policing". The end goal is that there will no longer have to be any central agency. Each computer will become a dictator of sorts and will not allow objectionable material to be uploaded/downloaded or keyed. Any attempt to thwart the system will result in an immediate disconnect of all electricity in it's vicinity (all computers will be linked to the local powergrid and when the grid does not get your computers ping it will know that you have compromised the system)

Any attempt to download or upload anything objectionable will result in authorities attaching an unremovable "shock collar" and further wrong-doings will result in a swift and painful electrical shock and will increase per offense and type of offense.

All households will be required to have ultra sensitive listening devices in each room and must always remain visible to the heat signature reading of the webcams. Failure to maintain visual contact will result in wearing shock-collar, and any additional violations will result of course in painful "shocks".

I hope that answers everyone's questions.
This is the new world order my friends...Now, crunch away, crunch away

Re: This should answer everyone's questions...

OK, as NO-MAD changed his reply on me, i'll change my post too.

Some people talk about you being humoreus but i can't see the humour in it. It's more something that would scare new members away what you are posting here. So i think that you have to do what dave said: Go spam another board or change your way of posting!

Pconfig

For the record...I've NEVER changed my reply. Not even once. wink

I'm sorry you find my post humoreus, or humorous rather, but that's your prerogative. I do understand that different cultures of different nations have different "styles" of humor, perhaps it is merely a conflict of comedy, or dare I mention the possibility of a bias of political interests or national pride. The CIA just updated its factbook on Belgium a couple of weeks ago. You've got some really cool medieval cities in Belgium, too bad it's become a major transit point of illegal drugs to the US. It really looks like a great place to visit.

No-MAD --

I don't know what has motivated your posts, but I, for one, think they are quite offensive.

Re: This should answer everyone's questions...

Yes, I was wondering how long it would take David to catch up to Dave's post here.

You guys follow each other around in the forums like you were siamese twins. I see you are both on the same team as well. I've been in other forums where people have taken on multiple names to make it look like they had a larger "support group", but I'm not inclined to believe that is happening here just yet. It does seem that you do both have the same lack of sense of humor and perhaps are just merely mindless drones I should just brush off and ignore.

As for the bit of humor at the beginning of this thread...well...maybe I should have added this disclaimer:

If something offends you, lighten up, get a life, and move on.

No-Mad

This is the start of the WCG Project, a worthy cause, one that needs to encourage users to join up. I and others have worked hard in this forum to encourage, assist, and campaign for a better supported forum by IBM and I for one are sick and tired of your foul rantings.

Either get behind this project or just go away.

You are sullying the efforts of a great number of individuals who are supporting this project to the hilt.

You are doing us all a great disservice.

Dave

cool Re: Aliens

The first post mentions alien technologies, which is a sure-fire indicator that humor is intended. Of course, one person's joke is always read on a bulletin board by many people in many different moods. . . . . .

I think that this calls attention to a lack in the forums. We need a new Forum, called Chat or Member's Bar, or something of the sort where threads like this can be moved. Of course, there is no need for knreed to create the new Forum until we get some Moderators. raised eyebrow

Re: Aliens

Agreed Lawrence

However, whenever No-Mad Posts it is always to pour scorn on the WCG project which given that it is still in it's early days this does not show WCG in a good light. Also likening someone to a begger full of helium just over a simple typo (in another thread) is simply not acceptable.

We have worked hard to promote the positive aspects of WCG within the forum and I have had enough of his vile spoutings. The Ignorance is bliss thread + the continuous slanging match over Teams America + this thread which he will never let slip out of the new members gaze is frankly sickening

Where are the Moderators to put a stop to this nonsense?

Dave
