Roll on tonights stats update
----------------------------------------More hands to the pump today which is great news I've got another 3000+ Barton in the post  £54 + VAT VFM CrunchingI'm going to produce a table of GFlops for your £, $, € etc for various processors this weekend it looks like we need to find that elusive best value CPU. ----------------------------------------I'll find out this weekend what is the best value CPU/Motherboard/Memory combination is for running the agent at the moment and I'll let you know. you could boot it without a CD-Rom or floppy. Just bring in a CD-Rom for the install and then put it back in the original machine Shopping List 1 CPU + Fan 1 Mobo with onboard Graphics and Ethernet 1 memory stick 1 Hard Drive (one of those 5Gb or less disks you have on your bookshelf would do it) 1 Cheapo case and PSU 1 OEM Windows or soon to be free Linux = More GFlops for the World Community Grid Oh no I've caught that crunching bug again  |

Barton 3000+ ASUS Mobo powered box £236 all new bits 40Gb Hardrive (the smallest you can buy now) 100M ethernet + graphics
----------------------------------------knock £63 off that when the linux client arrives £173 for 3.4GFlops or about 27 Points per hour (236520 per year) These are all inc VAT and not trade prices (I wonder what you could get for a bulk order  )For our Worldwide Team Mates I think the UK prices are inflated or so I am told.
