A big welcome to the team to Andrew R and finman, great to have you on board!
Congrats to webnx.com on the one million up score.

Hi Marysduby, thx for asking. My small additional processor is making huge amounts of excessive fan noise and constantly emitting data streams from all orifices. Of course this is standard procedure for the model and year - but I have to say the operating manual was woefully inadequate - isn't it always? The on&off line help systems are highly contradictory and sometimes reference old software versions, so like most people we just do our best and make it up as we go along. So far I'm loving every minute.

Talking of Millionaires MOT latest stat is the fact that we have now averaged 1 Million points per week every week since kick off on the 16th November starting from scratch. As it took the fledgling MOT 8 whole weeks to reach our first Million that just shows the level of our output recently.

I think this is just cool

Hi to largethunder

I like that blog of yours. How do I know about it? I can see visitors arriving on the site from the info you have put up there.

Cheers largethunder.

Come on team, it works, get out there blogging for the WCG and MOT otherwise I will have to reprise my Blogging Along song (on the bottom of the beautiful briny sea) and it won't be pretty - you've been warned wink

Steve glad to see you are coping with your little one. Enjoy every minute as before you know it they are taller than you smile

Take care
Dave

Re: smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today smile smile

Another question for anybody with knowledge (or just opinions). I have a micro ATX motherboard with a Sempron 2200 and I have an old Packard Bell Lengend 233 (that's a 486DX33 with a turbo button on the front - ooh turbo, 4 MB of memory - soldered to the motherboard - expandable to 36MB, a 380 MB (yes MB) hard drive and that classy 5 1/4 inch floppy drive that nobody but old folk remember using). My question is if I gut the old guy does this case have enough height for my micro ATX board? It fits - with the backplane pointing to the middle of the case since our friends at PB of course were doing custom motherboards - but the height is 4 3/4" and when I lay the board in the top of the processor cooler is at 3 1/2 " and blows up. Pointing to the middle is okay since I am just running an ethernet cable into the case once I get it set up. Trying to save some money since I have a spare power supply and components. This is definitely one for my farm and not an everyday machine. Another option is to start my wooden shelves laughing Comments?

Oh by the way, yes this PB machine still runs (Wndows 3.1) and has the 2400 baud modem so it is internet capable but even I won't try to run this one as a cruncher biggrin

Morning DAJ

Get an ATX case and just have done with it smile

It doesn't have to be pretty, just functional, the cheapest cases with PSU's are cheaper than the cheapest PSU's tired

Just one of those strange facts of life.

Unless your metal working skills are second to none don't butcher the old chap one day he'll be a museum piece - sooner than you think.

I wish I still had my ZX81.

Then again there's always that 5 ply option
