confused I'm not sure if this is in the FAQ but here goes...

Just installed on a windows box.

1) Isn't running when you are NOT logged in the best way to do things? It could go hog wild when I'm not there and who'd notice?

2) Why is the service so much different than the non-ui task munching away in the background with the UI bit connecting to it when you fire up the window? Isn't this exactly the same thing?

I think I may be missing something obvious here.

I'm not quite sure what your question is.

You're quite right, a service install is ideal, and works much as you describe.
