When i install a new system, i rename the boinc directory and make a new installation. Then i rename the
WorldCommunityGrid -> tempgrid then boinc makes a new directory and i delete the new WorldCommunityGrid directory and rename the tempgrid to WorldCommunityGrid. Is this the point to make the server is crashing? Regards Joost |

Hi promised,
More information needed. Are you trying to duplicate the BOINC directory? Each installation is supposed to have a unique ID. If you have 2 or more installations with the same ID, the WCG server is going to think that something is wrong on your end. Hi Promised,
----------------------------------------There is no need to do this exercise. U can install a new BOINC over the old BOINC program files i.e. into the same directory. It will incorporate any project settings and files that were already there. cheers
