It would be nice if it was gone in 4 to 5 weeks. But in about 6 weeks the State Basketball tournaments start. That usually coincides with some form of March snowstorm. Those in the St. Cloud area who are old enough all remember the St. Patrick's Day Blizzard in 1965. Then there was the Storm of the Century in early March 1975. I like a winter wonderland too, but too much snow will cause spring flooding if the melt is too fast. By this time of the year I too am yearning for springtime, not to mention lower heat bills. laughing

Cheers

Well, another magic phenomena is blue hours on evening....

Now when land is Chrystal white, is makes gray sky disappear and couple of evening last hour are actually literally blue.
It is very magical phenomena, but it always happen when land is brighter that sky, it just turn light of evening mist to blue.

When land was dark, then there was just gray and dark time.
Now there is white, blue and dark hours.

so nice, so happy blushing

Glad to hear your winter has brightened up a bit.

The skies here have been crystal clear of late, thanks to Canadian high pressure which has kept us cold (-13F)(-25C). The sun is certainly nice as opposed to the grayness which seems to plague us all of November. The one thing I have noticed this year is the snow seems to be much cleaner than in the past. It appears to be whiter with less than the normal amount of dust and dirt in it. Just after it snows it always appears to be so pristine. Too bad reality sets in when you need to shovel it. biggrin

Cheers

Just looking at all the recent threads, I do not think the problem is on your end. It appears others are having some similar problems. Being able to upload cancer and not ricedoes not make too much sense, but it may help the techs isolate the problem on their end. The only thing I could suggest would be to try to manully force an update, but if you have rebooted and that did not work I'm guessing you already tried that.

Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I have tried everything under the sun.
I watch the work unit get to 100% and then I get the error.
Really weird stuff. I have at least 8 work units that have expired already. That count will increase quickly if I don't get this resolved.

I checked all of my machines. I see that I had problems on all of them periodically throughout the day. I looked at all of the messages and saw they were similar to what you were reporting. I have done no tweaking, but eventually when BOINC retried in the evening, all of the machines have finally succeeded.
It would be with Cancer, rice and DDDT units. None of my caches were so big anything was in danger of expiring.

Are any of your machines at all uploading ?

Cheers

I would say fewer than 5% of the work units uploaded in the last 4 days.
I'm thinking that our websense content filter got some update that is now blocking WCG uploads. I can download work units just fine though. If none have uploaded by the morning I will know that it is on our side.
