I ran some new benches at 3240 just to see what this would do: this is at 3240mhz: 1/17/2007 1:24:20 PM||Benchmark results: 1/17/2007 1:24:20 PM|| Number of CPUs: 8 1/17/2007 1:24:20 PM|| 3040 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 1/17/2007 1:24:20 PM|| 6351 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU 1/17/2007 1:24:20 PM||Finished CPU benchmarks ![]() |

A lot of times, running the lines (once the towers are rebuilt) involves using helicopters. Plus, you can't even begin to start restoring service to anyone downline until you have the main distribution line back. Last ice storm here, there was a transmission line down and that one line alone took out an entire county. Still, I'm amazed at the news of ice four inches thick out in the plains. Usually, you start losing things at half an inch. |

I got smart, got in the car, found a work crew from the elec company, asked if they'd eaten, they hadn't, came back 20 minutes later with hot subs and drinks for them.

12.7* my 3200+ barton !!!! What kind of weather conditions create an ice storm? 30 minutes later my power was on Nice one.I remember drooling at the thought of getting a Barton. They were monsters in their time. As to the weather..Get a rainstorm at 33-34F during the day and have the temps drop to 25F or less that night..Instant frozen everything. Have the next few days not get above 25F and you get the idea..permanent ice. Thats what we were looking at..Tomorrow it's supposed to go above 32F and things will melt. ![]() |
