Temperature is not a problem. The device is around 53-55 degC constantly.
----------------------------------------I don't have access to the computer right now, I think to remember that the benchmarks are pretty low on this one. So it seems to be a hardware problem. Especially since it performs worse than a 2,4 GHz P4. Maybe I should select the CPU-time option in Taskmgr and see if there is anything else eating up the cycles. ![]() |

Temperature is not a problem. The device is around 53-55 degC constantly. Is the chassis fan(s) running at normal speed? Out of 400 computers I maintain at work I've had two that had fans fail and suffered other hardware failure as a result. Some fans have manufacture defects I guess, fortunately I was able to RMA the systems. Of course I don't know the Mean Time to Failure of the fans, but perhaps *cough* HP *cough* will figure that one out and ship newer computers with a better one. |

Maybe I should select the CPU-time option in Taskmgr and see if there is anything else eating up the cycles. Check the screen savers - Pretty 3-D ones really eat up the cycles. |
