I'm using BOINC for one of the devices that I'm using for smashing data and it seems that in the last two weeks no points were reported (checked in device statistics). There is no error reported in BOINC regarding the processed work units.
Is any problem in recording the finished work units? |

Actually... that's the problem. I took a look to the device statistics, and there is nothing for this device reported in the last 14 days.

cpitis, the way you wrote your question implies you only got 1 BOINC instance running (devices is hidden at BOINC stats)? Looked there where you show a day, week and month score.....looks in fact you've been running it with hi scores.

I have two machines running boinc. I see the results from only one of them (in device statistics). The other one (which has this problem) reported the last crunch somewhere in the middle of July. I was offline for two weeks and I restarted this machine when I was back in business. Since then, a lot of work units from different projects in World Community Grid were processed with this BOINC client (especially faah* work units), according to the logs. Yet, nothing was recorded in my statistics since I restarted this machine.

Hello cpitis,
There are 2 pages of special interest. 1) My Grid - Device Manager - Device Statistics. What is the date shown that you last returned results on from your stuck computer? 2) My Grid - Device Manager - Results Status. Are there any results listed from your stuck computer? Do you confirm that the BOINC log of your stuck computer shows many FAAH units, etc. processed recently? What is the BOINC Device ID of your stuck computer? (About the 7th line in Messages) Lawrence |

Cpitis, here a picture of the page with pasted in link we want you to look (and may already know). The box "Device Name" allows filtering for each unique computer. The Result Status Box allows filtering on recent WU (work units).....Pending Validation & Inconclusive are, most interesting, as these are not yet completed by the others processing the same WU. If there are with Error, then there is possible a problem with your computer.
----------------------------------------![]() PS your computer/device has a name which should appear in the Results Status drop down box, which is different from the number in the messages log that Lawrence mentions.

Well, before posting, I took a look in both places: device statistics and results status.
It was interesting that in device statistics that Boinc device with problems was displayed only when I selected to show me the devices that returned results in the last 14 days (but not in the last 7 days). In the results status, there are the work units that I see in Boinc client displayed as "In progress". Looking in BOINC log, it shows that a lot of work units were sent in the last 7 days (with no errors, expiration or any other error message attached). My general statistics also dropped (visibly) in the last 7 days. Looking right now in general statistics and device statistics, it seems that it now recorded the last three or four work units crunched these days. |
