Re: logo problems

Quoting Didactylos
You could go back to grid.org, but I understand they are busy recrunching HPF1, which is well and truly finished. Personally, I don't understand why they would do anything so crazy. If WCG tried something like that, they wouldn't get far - there are all sorts of safeguards, not to mention the ever-vigilant members and Community Advisors. Besides, WCG have plenty of work to be doing, and more projects on the way.

Checked, and find that our team section at Grid.org, once 700 strong, only had 40 flushers on july 29. Dropped a note at 'our' forum to see if they are aware, but suspect most but these 40+ are. Their daily team score is position # 316, where they already slipped to # 6 all time.

Re: HDC project not transferring from server to my PC.

This HPF1 regurgitation on top of same with cancer, which is why i left there is baffling, beyond all ethics, if true. frustrated

Just to clarify: HPF1 is being regurgitated over there right now, yes - which is completely irresponsible. But the cancer project is not (Oxford specifically asked to crunch newer ligand sets against older protein targets - to find new hits - that data is not a re-crunch).

Re: HDC project not transferring from server to my PC.

okay, maybe not today, but go on GRID.org forum and you'll find posts and confirmations, that it was the case for a long long time and the reason....fear for loss of members if machines idled. Old Dutch saying....Donkey never walks into same stone twice (you get the gist).

Looked on the section team forum at our home base and actually those remaining were qualified as 'Die-Hards' 2 days ago......The Unsaid, maybe hanging on to old days and personal scores......well i crunch for cures first and foremost!

ciao
