I never really thought of it, but as some of the Boinc results take up to 10 days to give credit, you could keep going for days after your computer dies, or you lose connectivity.

Could also explain how some days you peak way higher than expected , whereas others you have scores best not mentioned.

Never underestimate the value of old parts. I have been upgrading the two secondary systems that crunch for me (in addition to my workstation); just with parts I had left over kicking around my office. (Spare ram, fans, etc) Starting after I burnt the north bridge off the one motherboard, and replaced it with a spare I had (that was actually better than the one I was using).

I don't know if it was a result of better cooling that kept the systems from throttling down, or the updates, but I averaged about 400 points a day better in the last third of the month over the first.

Now just to upgrade my workstation, but that will not be any left over parts. Frankly I am afraid what that round will cost. Not to mention the higher power bills for a new 800-1000 watt power supply. I think I will wait for fall, I definately don't need that heat in the summertime.
