Nah. I never trust ANY intel for profit group.
It's a sad day when I have to scan BBC America to get reports on US troops ![]() |

No pie for me today. ![]() No pie today, means a big work unit (that or your waiting for boinc credit to come) that will give you extra pie later, maybe even pie with ice cream. Day to day stats can bounce a lot, tommorow you will bounce back. ![]() ![]() |

Don't worry, GP. There will be more pie to go around shortly. As many of you know, I have had troubles with HDC work units, and tried running both the UD agent and Boinc. I have come to the conclusion that the HDC work is just too intrusive on resources, and have now had the boinc software lock up my computers several times. So I've uninstalled all WCG software. Since I really don't have any interest in running other problem sets other than cancer, I might migrate those machines back to the old place and support Serious Crunchers there.

Sorry to lose you, LH, but I can understand your frustration with HDC and your desire to crunch only cancer work. I'm not sure the work at the other place has any value yet. They're promising new things but that's months away. IMHO that place is still a waste of electricity until they prove otherwise.
I agree with you on the intrusiveness of HDC on our computers. I stopped working it myself for fear of losing one or more hard drives. The program accesses the HD far more often than any other project I've worked. My machines had no problem running it but the price in wear and tear was too high. Good luck to you and keep in touch. |

LH, What a lame excuse using crunching problems as a reason for running away from my wrath
