WOW!! Guess what. The problem--whatever it was--went away. WCG now is recognized by McAfee and is getting out onto the Web under its own power without my having to do anything.

(I still have a question about SigBanners (avatars?) and how to get them into the system. The question is just above this updated info.)

Hold down CTRL and scroll your mouse wheel. This will increase or decrease font size. Good luck.

Sadly, that misses the problem here. It's a convenient shortcut, though.

CriX answers the problem #3 from the initial post in this thread. We do not want Jim Liddell to become blind, do we?

Read the whole thread, why not? You will see that it doesn't work (at least in IE). This is a problem with the forum software and the WCG website.

Didactylus, the ctrl-button-hold mousewheel scroll works for me on WCG site too....anysite in IE7, except on zooming in IE it runs off the side. In FFx and Opera pages are nicely reorganised, fatefully to the layout, unless you go extreem. Opera is ACID2 compliant and FFX 99.9%. Even remembers the zoom state for each tab individually.

Re: Several Suggestions from a definitely non-Geek PC User

Clearly JimLiddell isn't using one of the browsers that force font size changes, or he wouldn't have a problem. All ctrl+mousescroll does is change the normal font scale setting, so it doesn't make any difference to the previous discussion.

Now, please can we let this topic die a decent death?

Hi Sekerob,
Internet Explorer 6 uses a fixed font size for WCG. I had not noticed this because I normally use Firefox.

I'm perfectly willing to let tye type size issue die any kind of death it deserves and/or craves. I had attempted the tool bar View/Type Size approach--which didn't work and was the only way I knew anyhow with IE6. Didn't know IE7 was out yet. Got force-fed the IE7Beta by MS last year and my PC choked on it and nothing was accomplished except that I have about 300meg of MS files I didn't have before and don't know which to delete and which not to. (The Seattle crowd got the idea I was a developer because I downloaded their Visual Studio beta -- which also turned to be a disaster in my PC.)

The CNTL-wheel deal is zip for me. Nothing!

Sorry get a storm brewing in the comunnal teapot. My original post was intended as just a humble and unworthy little-wee-tiny requesty-like comment from the little mouse hiding in the shadows in the from all you titans.

Re: Several Suggestions from a definitely non-Geek PC User

Don't worry, we're still going to try and get it fixed.

The ctrl+wheel does exactly the same thing as View->Text Size - that's why it doesn't work for you.
