According to what I've read, he had an 8 year old daughter, a 3 year old son (the one he caught flak over for taking with him in a croc. pen) and an American born wife. He was 44. His zoo in Australia employs several hundred folks. The Sydney Morning Herald is a good site for more info on him.

It's another Tuesday. Looks like we may actually get some rain today (maybe). It's been overcast but we only have a 20% chance. Just 20 more days till I get this hardware out of my ankle & hopefully this boot off my leg. It's been a long Summer. I've had this boot on since June 28th. I hope everyone has had a good day. This is a sad story and IFAIK a rare cause of death. I have dived over these timid creatures myself and knew that their tail could cause an injury. Hey folks. Just had a very short IM chat with Dave. He was using his cell phone (me on my PC) so it was short and slow
---------------------------------------- (How do teenagers IM so fast over their cells!  ) Anyway, he says he's doing well and says hi to everyone! Not sure if he's in the hospital or rehab but wherever he is, he'll be there at least a couple more months. Overall, sounds like it's going slow  but well.  |
