Looks like I won't need to get my p4 out of storage for awhile to keep on the "mover's of the day" list :p Some of the units will take longer than 2 hours, some not as long. But on average, 2 hours is a little optimistic. If you can do it, grats to you I'll be keeping a keen eye on your progress. |

If you were running all types of work units then my statement is correct. If you'd have mentioned you were running those specific units then i'd have understood. P.S. Granted credit CAN be a lot less than Claimed credit with optimized clients. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by spikey_richie at Aug 15, 2006 2:32:50 PM] |

Granted will be a lot less than Claimed with optimized clients. Yes, I realised, and I also found that it's illogical, see http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/printpost?post=67384 The server really seems too random for my liking. I'm considering bringing my cpu over to africa@home, or taking it off grid computing, if this kind of rotten trend continues. But still, all smiles with the results being returned. I don't contribute to AIDS research out of personal preference and principle, and HPF2 is like in hibernation. That leaves me all HDC. Granted credit IS STILL less than claimed credit on the official client anyhow. They don't like my CPU, and they're very wishy-washy about it :p [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 15, 2006 2:38:09 PM] |

They don't like my CPU, and they're very wishy-washy about it :p The way BOINC giving credit is based on the mid score among the 3 valid returns i.e. discarding the highest and lowest score. In this way, this does not favour those machines that are faster than the average ones. ![]() |

Even with BOINC's drawback, BOINC can still give more points than that of UD Agent. |
