Orca - fuel and energy prices are climbing steeply here as well. We pay about 98 pence per litre for UL petrol at the moment (It is over a pound if you buy on a Motorway Service Centre). What is it retailing for in Singapore? That's a good question; I don't drive, so I wouldn't know XD Singapore is the 3rd largest oil refining centre on the world... wouldn't be surprised if fuel is actually cheaper here than elsewhere because of economies of scale. But it sure is higher than neighbouring countries because we don't have extensive government fuel subsidies. Based on a couple of trips to your lovely country, IMHO you can get by quite nicely without driving. I wouldn't be in a rush to get a car - they are darn expensive to run! |

Why thank you (: I take public transport, it reaches every corner of the country. Considering that I stay on the west shore and my workplace is on the east, I cross the country twice a day in my commute XD And it costs me... a blanket sum of $60 a month. W00t, I just breached 100k! Go me! A single pc, on for only 16 hours a day. Daily generation reaching 3k... Nowhere near the peak yet ;) [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 14, 2006 10:15:39 AM] |

Has anyone heard how Dave is doing?
Has his son dropped Graham a line? It'd be nice if there was a way for us to get an update on Dave! |

I just got ready to rumble. My most recent benchmarks have yielded excellent results. Must be the latest version update opimizations (:
----------------------------------------I'm now looking at 90 credits per WU, 2 WUs every 2 hours makes 180, on for 10 hours makes 900, 900 * 7 makes 6,300 WCG points. If I on it for 20 hours, factoring in other calculations as well, I would possibly reach 15k a day on one computer. Edit - More exact calculations extrapolate 100 per WU, given every WU takes 1.5 hours. Thus every 3 hours, on 2 cores, 400 credits, multiplied into 2,800 wcg points. When on for 18 hours, which is the most reasonable average uptime for me, 2,800*6 = 16,800 points. This is given that all results are validated on one day. Most probably I will see a gradual increase as newer validated results with the stronger credit ratings are slowly added day-to-day sans statistics updating, but my target by the end of the week is a modest 10k a day.
