I see your point. I killed WCG.. It was only at 18%. Of of you guys will have to do that WU for me.

Don't worry, the system's quite used to things like that.
Where you will see the benefit is in your memory usage. With just two concurrent units you will save a couple of hundred megabytes, and other programs will run a lot better. Did you mention SQL Server? That definitely benefits from more free memory. |

I am not worried. I bought this box specifically for this task. It has a gig of ram, so memory isnt a big concern. My other box (P4 2.88) is a domain controller/sql server. (it also crunches, but I cut it some slack based on its other important duties). This box, however, gets no repreive. 101% All day long, 365 days a year until it dies. It seems like I turned in 200 points less than yesterday. I increased my performance overall though.. Some of that must be the lag factor (I have 10 WU waiting to be validated on the website, an who knows how many floating in cyberspace).. |
