Remove a Device

How do I remove a device from my device list, that I am no longer running World Community Grid on??

I don't know... I have been trying to figure that out as well. I suspect they will have to add this as an enhancement.

sad Remove a Device

Hi
As far as I Know it can't be done as each device
holds the actual record of the work done.
A device drops off the default search on the device page
and after about two weeks. It won't show unless
the search is changed.

I have never done this, but as far as I know, you can rename a device. Just name it old001, old002, etc. and you can reuse the device name. This lets you reinstall on a computer, giving it a new device name, then change the old device name, then rename the computer to the preferred name that you are used to.

You can indeed rename, in fact you can have more then one with the same name. I have several machines renamed to "Retired" in my device list.
