Hello and welcome to all new members of MOT Congrats. To Joost on new milestone-what a feat!! good job Hello Dave Bell my friend to the south--its warm here also and i love it-Thanks for asking about my wife and your prayers. She had tests done last week --cancer in both lungs but the doctor said it has shrunk in one lung. The chemo seems to be helping some. I dont know which is worse the chemo or cancer only time will tell--God bless you and our team--Gerald

I can only imagine what she must be going through. I was treated with chemo for my bladder cancer 17 years ago, but it was injected locally, not at all like what she is enduring. She is a very lucky woman to have you at her side as she goes through all of this and you are a very lucky man to be able to stand beside a woman who is fighting as hard as she appears to be. None of us ever wants to experience what you both are going through, but there are positives to be had from it. I am sure that it has strengthened the bonds you tied in marriage in years past and that the love that you share today is stronger than you ever thought possible. I will continue to pray that someday, and I hope that day will be soon, you will be able to put this all behind and are able to enjoy those strengthened bonds. Your friend to the south, |

 Huge congrats to Joost on hitting 10m!! All my best wishes for your wife's recovery Gerald. As an aside, I went to a presentation two weeks ago by a great speaker and a world champion indoor rower at 54 who was diagnosed with terminal cancer 20 years ago and told he had six months to live. As many of you probably realise I tend towards being one of lifes skeptics - however, I found this guys positive attitude inspirational (I don't use that word often, i promise you). My 12 year old son has had a bout with cancer 5 years ago and my wife 3 years ago. Thankfully they didn't want to give up and I won't let them give up either. The inner strength takes over and is one hell of a helper in the fight of diseases. Stay strong and our prayers are with your family. |
