Your contribution to the WCG doesn't increase by deploying Boinc as you still have the same CPU and Memory (Unless you have a Multi-Core or SMP motherboard where it really would) so the points allocated should equate to those that have been in use since day 1 on the UD Client

It's me again I'm going to boinc this machine in a few mins after another work unit has finished it's an Athlon XP 3200+ with 512Mb of Ram and anyone who has been on this forum for a while could tell you how many points per hour it gets

When you've returned your first completed WU with MOT, don't forget to register with our own forums. We try to provide something for everyone there, so your input will be of interest to us. You can learn about BOINC, locate the team graphics you'll probably need, vote in polls, and a whole lot more. Get your feet wet, then come introduce yourself mate.  |

OK own up who was it that put me onto this boinc stuff
----------------------------------------That dual core 64 Bit Athlon idea just passed before my eyes It should come with a goverment health warning this crunching malarky It is slightly more efficient than UD as it queues up the next work unit before the last has finished saving that download time but a couple of mins 3 times a day isn't going to double that points score 2 out of 6 converted so far I missed a couple of others as they managed to get half an hour into their WU's - I'm not giving that up so easily |
