Yes apparently the protein in the milk decreases the availability of the polyphenols/catechins. I drink 6-8 cups a day of green tea, nothing added ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 10, 2007 7:03:07 PM] |

Hope for HIV mothers protecting baby at birth
----------------------------------------Mothers with HIV who protect their unborn children by taking an antiviral drug during pregnancy can pay a terrible price – developing a drug resistance that means therapy for their own illness subsequently fails. However, a new study has shown that if the new mothers can wait six months after birth before re-starting their drug therapy, the chance of drug resistance falls by 75%. The researchers say the findings should encourage governments and policymakers to adjust drug recommendations for HIV-infected pregnant women, many of whom live in sub-Saharan Africa...................... continued

Adult Male Circumcision Significantly Reduces Risk of Acquiring HIV
Trials in Kenya and Uganda Stopped Early NIH info.......~50% reduction in risk The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), announced an early end to two clinical trials of adult male circumcision because an interim review of trial data revealed that medically performed circumcision significantly reduces a man's risk of acquiring HIV through heterosexual intercourse. The trial in Kisumu, Kenya, of 2,784 HIV-negative men showed a 53 percent reduction of HIV acquisition in circumcised men relative to uncircumcised men, while a trial of 4,996 HIV-negative men in Rakai, Uganda, showed that HIV acquisition was reduced by 48 percent in circumcised men. |

Perfect and very interesting: The place where it should be 34C to maintain fertility... wonder what happens if wearing tight briefs increases the temp to 36/37C (and decreases fertility). Seen any related article on that as there is no mention here!
