Yikes! 76C - definitely a cooling problem there. You might not have your heatsink properly mounted or if it has a fan on it, that fan might not be working.
My AMD64 3800+ is on an MSI K8N Neo4 mobo with 2GB. The video is the 6600GT PCIe with 128MB. I run a cool 49C on the CPU, 40C on the mobo with WCG running. |

antec sonata + amd 3200+ zalman i have this problem only with world community grid i play dod souce ,counterstrike and dont have this problem Even those video games don't cause 100% cpu useage on that powerful of a CPU :) 170F is way too hot and 100F for idle is HOT too. My overclocked X2 runs a little over 120F at 100% load...You really need to check and make sure your heatsinks and fans are all attached and working correctly, make SURE there is thermal paist between sinks and cpu, make sure case fans are flowing air, not just blowing hot air around :) I know that sounds like a lot of work when only this program causes it but there *IS* a problem with your computer that should be fixed. |
