btw Buckshot thanks for all the extra web traffic to the teams website. We are getting quite a number of clickthroughs from your unofficial world community grid website and it's FAQ, certainly 4 or 5 times as many as arrive via a search engine.
----------------------------------------Keep up the good work on www.unofficialworldcommunitygrid.com Regards Dave ![]() |

We out Kentuckied the Kentucky Wildcats for the first time We had to be about 100 days ahead on run time to do it though. The Wildcats seem to get an awful number of points and results relative to their runtime. This is no slight on their formidible contribution to WGC but I wonder how this is so? Well done team though - awsesome crunching today guys and congrats to Compudude for reaching 8m points - nice job!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

We do seem to be holding our own with just a few members, compared to the other teams listed above us - thanks to you millionaires, I think! Matt -- Yep -- their points do help, but we wouldn't be in the top five teams overall without us little guys crunching 24/7 with our one or two systems either. Every last one of us has put us there! Hi Dave - yes - point taken! I have the bug and keep leaving my sys on overnight as well. Have pinched a little CPU time from my son's PC as well - when is is not playing his online game! Last night he did me a 'favour' and shut my PC down for me after I went to bed. Noooooo! We are away soon for a holiday, so the old points will take another beating. ![]() At least 3 out of the 8 systems contributing on my behalf are on 24/7 - the other 5 are friends of mine, so i'm guessing they're not as committed as me ![]() Hi Spikey! I am thinking of doing the same - I could easily turn into a stealth installer whenever I pop around to my friends and relatives... |

I have the bug and keep leaving my sys on overnight as well Matt you see it starts out innocent enough crunching to help mankind then it's your kids PC. Next thing you know you can't hear yourself for the fan noise..... Run, run now while you still have the chance ![]() Too late. Here I am checking my stats on my morning off!Its a bad case of MOTitis. |

That Carpet Cleaner is definitely faulty.
----------------------------------------We do seem to have the most sensitive earth leakage circuit breakers in the land though. Although it is nice to know you are safe with the amont of spaghetti I have at this end You only have to look at them in an odd way and they trip out ![]() ![]() |

How do you like the new member titles? It looks like Graham is well on his way towards being the WCG's first "Ace Cruncher"! You and I aren't too far behind, but even at the rate all of us post, it will be a while before we see that! The nice thing is that we will no longer have to explain why our new members are "Strangers". For those who may have missed it in the Member News, the new titles based on numbers of posts in the forums are: 0 - 49: Cruncher 50 - 149: Advanced Cruncher 150 - 499: Senior Cruncher 500 - 1499: Veteran Cruncher 1500 - 3999: Master Cruncher 4000+: Ace Cruncher [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 10, 2006 2:54:56 PM] |
